He has profound knowledge of dealing with various forms of congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. He is equally adept in clinical as well as invasive cardiology and has performed numerous simple as well as complex cardiac interventions in children including newborns. He regularly performs Fetal echocardiograms for pre-natal detection of congenital heart diseases. Management of sick children in the cardiac ICU also forms a part of his growing repertoire. Professional Experience & Achievements Dr. Aritra Mukherji completed his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College and then did his post graduate training in Pediatric Medicine from NRS Medical College, Kolkata. He then joined Medica Superspeciality Hospital and served there as an Attending Consultant in Department of Neonatology. Subsequently he completed his FNB in Pediatric Cardiology from Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, under some of the best teachers of this specialty in this country. During this period, he received special training in Fetal Echocardiography as well as in intensive care management of complex congenital heart problems. On returning to Kolkata Dr Aritra Mukherji was initially attached to Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah and then he moved to his present position at Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Kolkata. Till now he has performed more than 1000 pediatric cardiac interventional procedures. He also routinely performs more than 50 fetal echocardiograms per month. Being a hardcore academician Dr Aritra Mukherji has publications in numerous eminent indexed national and international journals.
